Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SoundSlap collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the SoundSlap Twitch Extension, dashboard, overlay, and related services provided through soundslap.stream.
1. Information SoundSlap Collects
SoundSlap may collect and store the following information:
- Twitch Extension data: channel ID, Extension client ID, opaque viewer ID, Twitch user ID if shared by Twitch, display name if provided, Extension JWT authorization metadata, and transaction metadata sent by Twitch.
- Bits transaction data: Twitch transaction ID, SKU, Bits amount, selected sound, queue result, anonymous flag, and related Twitch transaction payload needed to validate and prevent duplicate transactions.
- Channel Points data: redemption ID, broadcaster ID, viewer ID, viewer login/name, reward ID/title/cost, user input, redemption status, selected sound, and invalid-match reasons.
- Dashboard account data: Twitch user ID, login, display name, avatar URL, role, manager permissions, dashboard sessions, OAuth state, and encrypted Twitch OAuth tokens used for dashboard setup features.
- Uploaded content: sound files, selected Klipy GIF URLs and metadata, filenames, MIME types, size, duration, category, visibility, prices, cooldowns, and moderation settings.
- Operations and safety data: queue events, audit logs, restore tokens, viewer blocks, cooldown data, error details, and basic server logs that may include IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps, and status codes.
2. How SoundSlap Uses Information
SoundSlap uses information to:
- operate the Twitch Extension panel, dashboard, and OBS overlay;
- validate Bits transactions and reject duplicate or mismatched transactions;
- match Channel Points redemptions to selected sound codes;
- queue, play, preview, moderate, block, restore, or void sound slaps;
- manage broadcaster uploads, prices, cooldowns, and settings;
- secure dashboard sessions and verify authorized users;
- troubleshoot bugs, investigate abuse, maintain reliability, and comply with Twitch requirements.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
The SoundSlap dashboard uses cookies for login sessions and OAuth state. Browser local storage may be used for non-sensitive dashboard preferences such as preview volume. Twitch may separately use cookies or other technologies within Twitch and the Twitch Extension environment under Twitch's own privacy practices.
4. Sharing
SoundSlap does not sell personal information. SoundSlap shares information only as needed to operate the service, including with Twitch for Extension identity, Bits, Channel Points, EventSub, and related Twitch APIs; hosting and infrastructure providers that run soundslap.stream; and service operators or authorized managers who need dashboard access. Information may also be disclosed if required by law or to protect the service, users, Twitch, or others.
5. Retention
Uploaded sounds and selected GIF metadata are kept until deleted or disabled by the broadcaster or service operator. Transaction, redemption, audit, queue, moderation, and restore-token records may be kept as long as needed for fraud prevention, troubleshooting, accounting, review, and safety. Dashboard OAuth tokens are kept until disconnected, expired, rotated, or removed. Server logs may be retained according to hosting and operational needs.
6. Security
SoundSlap uses reasonable technical measures intended to protect information, including server-side transaction validation, Twitch JWT verification, encrypted stored OAuth tokens, session cookies, rate limiting, and restricted dashboard access. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
7. Viewer Choices
Viewers can choose not to use SoundSlap, not to spend Bits, not to redeem Channel Points, or to use the available anonymous option where provided. Broadcasters can remove uploaded content, change availability, disconnect Twitch setup where available, and request removal of stored SoundSlap data through the support contact listed for the Twitch Extension.
8. Children's Privacy
SoundSlap is intended for use through Twitch and is not directed to children outside of Twitch's permitted account and service rules. Do not use SoundSlap if you are not allowed to use Twitch.
9. International Processing
SoundSlap is operated from the United States and may process information in the United States or other locations where Twitch, hosting providers, or infrastructure providers operate.
10. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated as SoundSlap changes. The latest version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of SoundSlap after changes means the updated policy applies.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the support contact provided in the Twitch Extension listing or the official contact method made available on soundslap.stream.
